It’s getting to be that time of the year again…
Thx to the bf via Ryan Firpo @918Films for showing me this.
Yeah, I collected marbles for a bit when I was little from a tiny shop in Cordage Park where I grew up. I’m kind of excited. Not to mention it looks both intense + adorable. In the words of Jay, “it looks like The Wire”. But if it’s The Wire, then WHERE’S WALLACE???
Google has just launched its new Beta E-Commerce site, Boutiques.com. It allows you to customize your own boutique through a series of pages where you can choose which look is more your style, silhouettes that you love and hate on dresses and bottoms, shoe style and heel heights you love or hate, and your own color palette. You can also select your favorite designers and choose the ones you’d rather they leave out. My biggest issue is that I wish instead of choosing colors that I love or hate, I could choose how often I wear those colors on a scale from Never to A Lot. I wouldn’t choose orange pants as something I “love” but I also don’t want the option to see them to be totally cut out.
What do you think of the site?
Being from the South Shore of Massachusetts, Thanksgiving is a big holiday for me. This is the first year I’m not going to be with my family! Unfortunately we have to be our of our apartment 2 days after Thanksgiving. I’m quite sad but that means that I will be cooking my first Thanksgiving dinner!!!! If you are into cooking, feel free to check out some of my Thanksgiving recipes-to-come on my cooking and food photography blog.
One of my favorite things about the holidays has always been dressing up for dinner. Here’s some inspiration for your Thanksgiving adornment.
I of course LOVE Zara’s November collection. I was there just the other day and they have some great slouchy trousers (even some corduroy!) and faux fur vests and oversized wrap cardigans. But I’ve gotta say… how about those man clothes??? If every man in my life dressed like this, I would be surrounded by some seriously stylin’ guys. Something tells me that not every dude can pull off the slim pants tucked into the biker boots look, and if they can well…it’s probably not the clothes that are doing it for them.

I know sweatpants are like the anti-fashion, but how could anyone resist these fancy comfy sweatpants?!? They can even double as trousers if you pair them with the right top, a blazer, booties, and a big scarf. Weekend mornings in NYC, HELLO!
