I have a lot of weddings + engagement parties to attend in the next couple of months, in all different cities, and I was thinking about how hard it can sometimes be to dress for a wedding. It’s always a fine line. Between being to dressy and too casual. Between looking good but not like you’re trying to show up the bride. Between wearing something fun but still looking wedding appropriate. Between wearing those great shoes and wearing shoes you can dance in. Not to mention the day-to-night and hot+sunny to chilly aspect. Bringing both sunglasses and a wrap is important. I put together a few inspiration boards to help me visualize it better. Thoughts??
Osborn Design came about when co-founder Aaron Osborn met an out-of-work cobbler who was doing charitable work in Guatemala, where his (Aaron’s) family runs one of the largest orphanages in the country. Each shoe is handcut and sewn by a local artisan and I think the result is pretty amazing! Fashion+Humanitarianism=Pure Gold (as already once proven by Tom’s Shoes). I also came upon Osborn’s tumblr, which is fully of random inspirational photos. Hope you enjoy!
Purchased these little babies at the Dolce Vita Boutique in the LES this weekend while (post Bloody Mary brunch) shopping with my girls on Saturday. Kind of in love with my feet today. They have some great stuff right now – including both their new summer collection + some amazing sale items! If you don’t have a boutique in your area, check them out here!
